Many of you are already familiar with our organization. For those of you who are not, we are a division of the Cal Ripken/Babe Ruth Baseball League. ALL participants of RAA/RCB are volunteers; from the board members, coaches and managers, down to the all important, team moms. We volunteer our time and energy so that the children in our area will have a fantastic place to play and learn Americas favorite past-time, baseball!
RAA/RCB is fortunate to have our own five field baseball complex. This facility serves as the site for all of our practices and most of our games from T-ball to Babe Ruth. Captain and Mrs. Stuart, both long-time county residents, donated this 9 acre complex to the youth of our area to play the Captain's favorite sport.
The community was left with the task of taking care of this, Field of Dreams for your youth. With your financial support and the contributions of numerous volunteers, Stuart Field remains intact for the present and future generations of baseball players in Rappahannock and Culpeper counties.
RAA/RCB is comprised of 5 leagues: T-ball (which makes use of a baseball tee and coach pitching), Rookie ball (which uses a pitching machine), Minors (kid pitch), Majors (which uses the new 50/70 field configuration) and Babe Ruth (60/90 MLB field configuration). The Babe Ruth league consists of 13 year old prep league, a 14-15 year old league, and sometimes a 16-18 year old league. Each league has its own field for practices and games. We pride ourselves in our unique complex. Our concession stand is second to none, and our participants enjoy the feeling of comfort and security in our family-orientated facility.
We invite you to join us in Amissville, on Route 211, fives miles west of Clevenger's Corner (Rt. 229), " Where the sun rises and sets over baseball." Come and enjoy the total youth baseball experience!
